Accreditation UK is a quality assurance scheme for schools, colleges, and universities which offer courses in English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The scheme gives an assurance of quality to international students who are taking or are planning to take an English language course in the UK. All accredited centres meet or exceed the agreed quality standards in management, resources and environment, teaching, welfare and (where applicable) care of under 18s. This assurance is achieved by external inspection, ensuring that centres which are accredited through the Scheme meet agreed quality standards.
Students and educational agents can choose from over 500 quality assured UK English language centres.
Accredited centres include language schools, summer schools, home-tuition providers, independent school/colleges, further education colleges and universities.
There are centres located in busy cities as well as in the countryside or by the sea. Centres offer different courses, so there is a wide range of courses to choose from, including general English, English with activities and specific courses for academic study or professional enhancement.
