Our links with external organisations including Kent Sport, the Kent School Games and various coaching companies, provide you with opportunities to gain practical experience in the delivery of events and competitions.

You’ll have access to an indoor sports hall with three multi-use rooms, a fitness suite with a comprehensive range of cardio-vascular and resistance equipment, a free-weights area, and a performance analysis room.

General Requirements

  • Applicants to the Foundation Degree in Physical Education and Physical Activity must normally have:
  • a GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) in English Language;
  • an 'A' Level or equivalent qualification in the specialist pathway
  • ideally a minimum of 6 months experience (or equivalent) of teaching or supporting learners in an educational setting within the specialist pathway;
  • be employed, or working voluntarily, for 10 hours / week in a relevant setting.
  • You will be required to have a recent satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If you don't already have this you can apply for one through your organisation.
