International Foundation Programme in Business, Pre-Bachelor

This programme allows you to study modules which guide you through the processes involved in creating, sustaining and growing a successful business. In addition, you will receive support in professional and study skills. 

You will have the best of both worlds - you will be taught at Aston University by both Aston University staff involved in research and by staff from Birmingham Metropolitan College. This is a transition programme which aims to consolidate your skills and knowledge from further education study, but build on those to smooth your transition to a University environment.

                  Academic Requirements

                  All programmes:
                  • GCSEs: 5C’s/4, including English Language and Maths
                  • A Levels: BCC (exc. General Studies)
                  • IB: 28 points overall. Minimum scores of 5,4,4 at Higher level. Minimum scores of 5 in English and Maths at Standard level.
                  • BTEC: Extended Dip:   DDD (Min 7 distinctions from 18 units)
                  • Diploma: DD (min 4 distinctions from 12 units) plus A Level grade C
                  Plus, for progression onto specific study areas:
                  • Accounting for Management - GCSE: B/5 in Maths / IB: 6 SL Maths

                  • Economics and Management - GCSE: B/5 in Maths / IB: 6 SL Maths
