The QUTIC Foundation program has been registered on CRICOS for delivery in Australia to overseas students providing an academic preparation for those students seeking entry to the first year of QUT undergraduate study or its equivalent.

This Pre-Bachelor Offers


  • Pathway to Bachelor and University Diploma programs for students who do not meet entry requirements.
  • Complete in one year full-time.
  • Study computing, English, Australian studies, Maths, and your choice of electives.
Foundation streams

There are nine Foundation streams to choose from, each with 11 units. Students are enrolled in the Foundation stream relevant to their chosen QUT bachelor course.

When you've completed the Foundation program with the correct faculty progression requirements for your chosen bachelor course, you will be guaranteed a place in the first year of the approved QUT bachelor program.

  • Bachelor of Business (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing majors)
  • Bachelor of Urban Development (all majors excluding Urban and Regional Planning)

Business 2          

  • Bachelor of Business (all other majors)
  • Bachelor of Urban Development (Urban and Regional Planning)
  • Bachelor of Laws 
  • Bachelor of Justice

Creative Industries         

  • All Creative Industries bachelor programs
  • Bachelor of Laws 


  • All Education  programs


  • All Engineering programs (excluding Bachelor of Urban Development)

Information Technology

  • All Information Technology programs (IT)
  • Bachelor of Mathematics

Health 1              

  • All programs in the Faculty of Health that have subject prerequisites for entry

Health 2              

  • All programs in the Faculty of Health that don't have subject prerequisites for entry
