The Diploma of Youth Work leading to the Bachelor of Social Work at  TAFE South Australia is ideal if you are interested in supporting young people reach their potential.


 Youth workers have responsibility for the development and the outcomes of programs and services for young people managed through a range of agencies and designed to meet their social, behavioural, health, welfare, developmental and protection needs.

This qualification requires a combination of online study and compulsory weekly attendance on campus. In addition to this, students will be required to attend a localised industry specific setting for work placement and complete industry experience at Bower Place Complex Needs Clinic - a practicing clinic; located in Gawler Place, ADELAIDE.

Employment Outcomes

Youth work may be undertaken through employment in community, government and welfare agencies.
