Leeds Language College is a Secure English Language Test (SELT) centre for Cambridge ESOL, as required by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), which means students can take examinations for visa and immigration purposes at our centre. Internal and external candidates are welcome to register for examinations.
Our Cambridge Examination Courses will prepare you for the Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) suite of international examinations. All the Cambridge exams involve reading, writing, use of English, listening and speaking. Successful candidates receive a certificate awarded by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. All candidates receive a statement of results showing how they performed in each of the five papers.
Courses will consist of practice tasks for the Reading, Writing, Use of English, Speaking and Listening examination papers. Students will also revise key vocabulary and grammar and learn how to apply their knowledge to the requirements of the examinations. They will be expected to carry out a number of compulsory homework assignments and also to complete in-class examination practice sessions, which will be carried out under exam conditions.
