About

The Business course offered by the Virginia Commonwealth University will help you learn how to fuel your ideas with purpose. Experiential learning is built into the curriculum to allow students to learn in the workplace from internships and real-world business leaders.

The Undergraduate Global Student Success Program (GSSP) is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree program. The GSSP consists of for-credit coursework and provides an academic and cultural bridge from your high school experience to studying at Virginia Commonwealth University.

When you successfully complete the GSSP, you will move directly into the second year of your undergraduate degree program at the Virginia Commonwealth University.

Academic Requirements

You need the following GPA score:

Required score: 3

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Undergraduate direct entry and Global Student Success Program entry requirements vary depending on the academic and English language qualification results achieved.
  • All applications are reviewed individually against the entry criteria for each program listed. All applications are subject to final University departmental review and approval.
  • VCU admissions reserves the right to request additional documentation if necessary for review. Students are required to submit all official transcripts from postsecondary institutions attended beyond high school whether they are seeking credit transfer or not.
