About the programme

Our ShowBiz English programme is located in The King’s Hospital School in Palmerstown, Dublin 20.

The remaining three afternoons per week, when we are on campus, students of the ShowBiz English course at Alpha College of English will be able to improve not only their English but also their visual arts technique and skills with professional training.

Students take part in tutorials and workshops on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons while other students take part in regular multi-option campus activities.

About the school

The school is a purpose-built boarding school and occupies a 100 acre wooded site on the banks of the River Liffey.  The location is very quiet and safe with extensive grounds and facilities.  The school has bright, well-equipped classrooms, several recreation rooms, common areas, purpose-built canteen and extensive sports facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, state of the art indoor gymnasium, tennis courts, rugby pitches, soccer pitches, basketball courts and all weather pitches.

Student accommodation is provided in bright, airy 4, 5 or 6 bed en-suite rooms.  The rooms either look out over the grounds of the school or the internal courtyard.

Each room has secure lockers and wardrobes for students to use.  Alpha College will have a secure storeroom for students’ specialised equipment.
