This English for Tourism course at Alpha College of English will give students a wider understanding of the international tourism sector as well as equip them with useful soft skills when dealing with clients.

Students will take part in our General English – Standard Course at their correct level in the mornings and join our English for Tourism modules in the afternoons.

  • Customer relations: Providing information on and effectively describing tourist sites and visits
  • Customer relations: Entertaining visitors, presenting your company, socialising and negotiating
  • Eco & Sustainable Tourism: Presenting projects, explaining aims, results and benefits
  • Hospitality English: Functional English required for working in a variety of hospitality departments (reception, reservations, bars, restaurants, housekeeping, etc)
  • Excursion to one of Dublin’s top visitor attractions followed by case study analysis
  • Upselling professionally and effectively – achieving extra sales using a soft sales approach
  • Guest speaker: Trends in Tourism
