UCW Vancouver

University Canada West is a contemporary independent university located in the heart of vibrant Vancouver. Courses are offered at our downtown Vancouver campus and online too. Offering courses online brings flexibility to education, allowing those who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to gain respected qualifications.

Established in 2004, UCW offers a range of career-focused programs including the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, Associate of Arts and Master of Business Administration. 


UCW Vancouver is a business-oriented, teaching-intensive university. They deliver programs that provide students with the applied and theoretical basis for success in the workplace and future academic endeavors. UCW Vancouver is committed to the principle of employment equality. Recently acquired by Global University Systems (GUS), a European leader in private sector Higher Education, the University offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce and Masters in Business Administration degrees both face-to-face in their downtown Vancouver premises and on-line.


They recognize that the spirit and energy of our support staff are key contributors to our rich learning community. Full-time and contract staff members work in a positive work environment with strong support from all of our academic faculties and administrative departments.

UCW does not provide accommodation or accommodation booking services, but has compiled the information below to help you with your search.

With shared accommodation you may have your own room or share a room with another person. These accommodations come furnished and many include internet and cleaning services.

Students and faculty have 24/7 access to all online library resources. The Library also provides the following services:

Medical services

The Government of British Columbia has a health plan called the Medical Services Plan (MSP). The services are for eligible British Columbia residents; Canadian citizens, landed immigrants, or government-assisted refugees. Post-secondary international students with study permits and people with work permits for six months or longer may also be eligible for MSP.

They will ensure that all UCW Vancouver students are settled in to campus life in no time. As an urban and modern University, our campus is nestled in the heart of the city, in a historic office tower at downtown Vancouver. It is easily accessible by transit, and you'll feel right at home surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, entertainment, shopping centres and gym facilities.
