The forerunner of Cranfield University was the College of Aeronautics, created in 1946 and based at the RAF station in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.
In 1967, the School of Management was founded, so 2017 marks our 50th anniversary.

94% of the graduates are in relevant employment or further study within six months of graduation, securing jobs in some of the world’s best known companies including Nissan, Oxfam, Airbus, Johnson & Johnson, Williams F1, Water-Aid, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rolls Royce, Affinity Water, Kraft and GlaxoSmithKline to name a few. The staff put a great deal of effort into connecting you with prospective employers and helping you find relevant employment upon graduation. At the Cranfield campus they offer a wide range of accommodation options for our students; including accommodation for full-time single students, couples and families. All of their on campus accommodation is located within a short walking distance to all other on campus facilities. You may prefer to live off campus in the local community; they also maintain listings of private accommodation - from rooms in shared houses, to apartments and family homes.On campus accommodation at the Shrivenham campus is prioritised for British military students; however, they are pleased to assist you in securing private accommodation in the local area.
They offer access to a rich collection of nearly 200 academic and industry/profession-specific databases to support your work at Cranfield; enabling you to discover current, relevant cross-disciplinary information, as well as explore applied subjects in great depth.
