The origins can be traced to the early 20th century, with the foundation of Bournemouth Municipal College. Our modern history began in the early 1970s with the creation of the Bournemouth College of Technology, and the construction of new buildings on the largest farm in Talbot Village – the area now known as our Talbot Campus.

Student services is made up of a number of teams who offer advice to staff as well as students. We are there for the fun stuff as well as the more serious issues that students might face. As well as the individual teams listed below, the Head of Service is responsible for student conduct, welfare and safeguarding issues.

Our IT facilities are being constantly updated to ensure you have access to the latest technology throughout your time at BU. We have Open Access Centres on both campuses which give you access to computers and printers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
