UAL's six Colleges offer an unrivalled range of courses in art, design, fashion, media, communication and performing arts. Each College has strong links with industry, enabling many students to work on live projects and gain professional contacts. We can provide the high-quality teaching, modern facilities and creative space for you to explore your ideas, skills and unique vision.
UAL Language Centre supports full time students at the university and also offers English courses and Presessional university preparation courses to students world wide.
UAL has a dedicated focus on careers and employability and we offer high quality external engagement experiences for students as part of our taught courses. We actively support our students to win opportunities in the creative industries and we have numerous strategic partnerships across industry, business and the community. UAL was recently ranked in the top 15 in the UK for industry connections.
UAL Language Centre has a dedicated support team to help support students before and during their time on their English course. There is a student welfare manager who can offer specialised advice to Language Centre international students. Students can take full advantage of the UAL Social Programme too, and enjoy trips, events and other activities.
Students can choose from a range of accommodation while studying at the Language Centre, including homestay, house share, university halls of residence and hotels. We can also arrange for students to be picked up from the airport when they arrive.
In our libraries you can access outstanding collections in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. Language Centre students can also make full use of our study spaces, technology and academic support. There is a library in each of our Colleges with staff who are happy to help you make the most of our resources.
All of the UAL Language Centre classrooms have interactive whiteboards. Students can enjoy free wi-fi throughout all of the university campuses, as well as use the networked PCs at different sites.
During their English courses, Language Centre students will attend classes at our central London school, which is close to the British Museum, Covent Garden and the West End theatre district of London. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area, and Oxford Street shopping district is only moments away. If you choose English Plus, you get the chance to study an arts, fashion or media course at one of the University's six world-famous colleges which are located around London.
UAL has an active Student's Union (SUARTS) and as a Language Centre student, you can take part in activities. Students can also join one of the Universities many societies, and get involved in different events, according to their interests.
The English courses are British Council accredited and our Presessional courses are also BALEAP accredited.
