About Location

  • The school is on the 80-acre Highline campus in the quiet, friendly suburb of Des Moines

  • It takes about 1 hour to get to downtown Seattle by bus and costs $2.50. Trains and ferries in downtown Seattle are available for trips to Canada and areas around Washington. There are bus stops on the Highline College campus to downtown Des Moines and to downtown Seattle

Teaching Method

  • There is a library with over 100,000 books, DVDs and CDs that Kaplan students can use. There is also a dedicated Kaplan library for English learners, including information on colleges, universities, and job skills
  • There are also special computers available for movie editing or scanning, and computers with international keyboards. The Kaplan TOEFL® lab is reserved for language study, and includes Listening and Speaking software and monthly TOEFL® sample tests
