The Learning Centre is a social learning space where you can extend the study you do in your classes. Their role there is to share resources and advice to help you meet your language learning goals. The school will help you to make an individual study plan and support you as you make progress towards your goals.
Languages International is in the heart of Auckland City, close to downtown shopping, entertainment and transport. The school’s setting is unique: its three historic buildings are surrounded by the trees and gardens of Albert Park. Just across the road from the school is the University of Auckland, a convenient place for our students to buy lunch, look through the bookshop or pay for transport passes.
The teachers are well-qualified, experienced and friendly. They are an international group with teachers from New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland, Canada, the United States and South Africa, so students can hear a wide range of accents in the school.
Some of the staff have written for publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Macmillan and Palgrave.
English preparation programmes
Every Social Programme activity is supervised by a teacher or the activities co-ordinator to ensure there is a good mixture of safety and fun. Speaking English is compulsory!
The school has regular activities and special events which allow students to mix with teachers and other students outside class hours.
