Description

The mission of Maryland English Institute (MEI) is to provide English language instruction and assessment at the postsecondary level for speakers of other languages who wish to learn English for academic, professional, or personal reasons.

About Location

Located just a few miles from America’s capitol, the Maryland English Institute is part of the University of Maryland, one of the top public research institutions in the U.S. MEI has been teaching English since 1980 and each year, students from more than 50 countries come to study with us in order to prepare for academic study at universities in the United States as well as for personal and professional reasons. Students have the opportunity to study on the campus of the University of Maryland, one of the greenest and most beautiful campuses in the United States, and ranked in the top 60 national universities and top 20 public universities in the United States.

Teaching Method

It is the mission of the Intensive English Program of Maryland English Institute to offer international students high-quality, multi-level academic English language instruction, cultural orientation, and preparation for academic study at universities in the United States.
